Savings instruments need level playing field: SBI head on Budget

SBI Chairman CS Setty said the Union Budget should consider creating "a level playing field" for bank deposits and other financial instruments. He noted that fiscal constraints make preferential treatment for deposits difficult. "In an evolving equity environment, there is a case for ensuring a neutral and balanced approach to financial savings instruments," he said.
