Savitri Jindal becomes Asia's richest woman with $11 billion wealth
Savitri Jindal has surpassed China's Yang Huiyan to become Asia's richest woman with a fortune of $11.3 billion, said Bloomberg. Jindal, 72, became the Chairperson of Jindal Group shortly after her husband and the company's Founder, OP Jindal, died in a helicopter crash in 2005. She overtook Yang after the latter lost over half her fortune amid China's property crisis.
