Saw infants covered in ashes, recalls parent after Amravati fire

A parent of an eight-day-old infant recalled the horrific aftermath of fire in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Amravati's District Women's Hospital in Maharashtra. Yogesh Savarkar, who was sleeping outside hospital building when panic broke out around 3:15 AM, rushed inside to rescue his baby. He said he saw other infants covered in black ashes. Three newborns died in tragedy.
