SBI Chief Arundhati Bhattacharya got ₹28.9L pay in 2016-17

The Chairperson of one of the world's 50 largest banks, SBI's Arundhati Bhattacharya received a basic salary of ₹28.9 lakh in 2016-17. In comparison, her counterparts in private banks like ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar received ₹2.66 crore and Axis Bank CEO Shikha Sharma received ₹2.7 crore as basic salary. HDFC Bank's MD Aditya Puri's remuneration stood at ₹10 crore.
