SBI closes North-East head office after COVID-19 spike among staff
The State Bank of India's North-East head office in Assam's Guwahati was sealed indefinitely on Thursday after five more employees tested positive for the coronavirus in the last two days, officials said. Kamrup Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu declared the three floors of the SBI building as "containment zones". The state has over 5,280 active COVID-19 cases.
