SBI seeks SC review of ruling barring spectrum as insolvency asset

SBI has moved Supreme Court seeking a review of its recent judgment that held telecom spectrum cannot be treated as a restructurable asset under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC). SBI cautioned that the judgment could significantly impact recovery prospects for banks. Earlier, SBI, Aircel and Reliance Communications had sought to classify the right to use spectrum as an asset.
