SC agrees to hear plea on statehood restoration of Jammu & Kashmir

Supreme Court has agreed to hear a plea on restoration of statehood to J&K within two months. The case was brought forward by Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, a college teacher and Khurshaid Ahmad Malik, who identified as an activist. The petitioners argued that no substantial actions have been taken in the past 10 months since Supreme Court upheld Article 370's abrogation.
