SC allows Odisha, J'khand judicial officers' deployment to Bengal for quick disposal of SIR claims

The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed the deployment of judicial officers from Odisha and Jharkhand to West Bengal to assist in the speedier disposal of claims made against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. Stating that there are 50 lakh pending cases, it added that even if one officer decides 250 matters a day, it'll take at least 80 days.
