SC appoints five-member panel to re-examine Aravalli definition

The Supreme Court on Tuesday formed a high-powered committee to conduct an independent re-examination of the Centre's report on the definition and boundaries of the Aravalli Range. The panel will be headed by Indian Forest Service officer Kanchan Devi and will address "critical ambiguities" in the Centre's report. The court also said that the current definition may be too narrow.
