SC asks EC to explain basis of 'logical discrepancy' SIR notices

The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Election Commission of India to explain the basis on which voters were issued notices under the 'logical discrepancy' category during the ongoing special intensive revision in Delhi. The court questioned the manner in which the poll panel was generating and communicating the notices. The EC issued notices to 33 lakh voters in Delhi.
