SC asks HCs to take call on ‘Senior Gown’ practice discontinuation

The Supreme Court left it on the High Courts to take a call on the practice of Senior Advocates using different gowns. It was considering the contention raised by Senior Advocate Indira Jaising that the practice of designated Senior Advocates using different type of gowns has no basis in the Advocates Act and thus this practice deserves to be discontinued.
