SC asks rape convict to propose to woman with flowers after both agree to marry

The Supreme Court suspended sentence of a man convicted of repeatedly raping a woman under false promise of marriage after both expressed willingness to marry. The court asked him to propose with flowers in courtroom. The man was sentenced to 10-year jail in 2024 after the woman alleged he raped her over several years and later refused to marry her.
