SC asks Sanjay Raut to appear in person in contempt case over remarks against CJI

The Supreme Court directed Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut to appear personally before it on November 17 at 2 pm in connection with contempt of court proceedings. The proceedings were initiated against him over his remarks against CJI Surya Kant. Journalist Nikhil Wagle, who also faces a contempt notice, has been asked to attend the proceedings virtually.
