SC criticises CAQM, orders expert review of Delhi-NCR pollution

The Supreme Court reprimanded the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) for its non-serious handling of Delhi-NCR’s worsening air pollution. Citing disagreements among experts over emission sources, the bench directed CAQM to convene an expert meeting within two weeks, identify the main contributors to AQI levels, publish a report, and prepare a long-term, phased action plan.
