SC denies medical bail to Asaram Bapu, allows round-the-clock caretaker in jail

Supreme Court has denied rape convict self-styled godman Asaram Bapu an interim bail on medical grounds. The court has permitted him to have a trained caretaker of his choice inside jail for round-the-clock assistance based on an AIIMS report. If there is any deterioration in his medical condition, he is free to mention his bail plea again, the court added.
