SC gives pension benefits to women SSC officers who were denied Permanent Commission in Army

The Supreme Court noted that "systemic discrimination" led to denial of Permanent Commission to women Short Service Commission (SSC) officers in the Army, Bar&Bench reported. SC then said that such women officers who were denied PC and left service will get pension and consequential benefits as a one-time measure. Officers who have been granted PC shouldn't be disrupted, it said.
