SC grants anticipatory bail to Khera over FIR by Assam CM's wife in passport case

The Supreme Court on Friday granted anticipatory bail to Congress leader Pawan Khera over an FIR filed by Assam CM Himanta Sarma's wife Riniki Bhuyan. "We are cognisant of the fact that personal liberty of an individual...cannot be put to jeopardy lightly," the court said. Notably, Khera had alleged that Riniki holds multiple foreign passports and undisclosed assets abroad.
