SC halts action on Sambhal's Shahi Jama Masjid well, seeks report

Supreme Court restrained UP government and Sambhal district administration from acting on a municipal notice to open a well for public use, located near the entrance of Shahi Jama Masjid. The bench said it's "keeping close watch" to ensure peace and harmony are maintained in the area. It also instructed authorities to file a status report within two weeks.
