SC impose ₹10 lakh fine on Reliance for delaying 20-yr-old case

The Supreme Court has imposed a ₹10 lakh cost on Reliance Industries while dismissing its appeal in a 20-year-old commercial dispute filed by NTPC over a proposed natural gas supply agreement. The court criticised Reliance for repeatedly challenging procedural decisions, noting that the case filed in 2005 remains stuck at the evidence stage.
