SC orders deployment of judicial officers for West Bengal SIR

The Supreme Court on Friday ordered deployment of judicial officers, including retired judges, for smooth conduct of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal. The apex court said there was a lack of cooperation between state government and Election Commission of India (ECI). It asked Calcutta High Court to free up officers for SIR work.
