SC suggests probe into police excesses & attacks on police personnel in CJP march violence case

The Supreme Court, on Tuesday, while hearing pleas alleging police brutality against the protesters in Delhi's Jantar Mantar, suggested an independent probe into the police excesses and attacks on police personnel. Notably, demonstrations turned violent on July 20 when a crowd, led by CJP, attempted to march towards Parliament from the Jantar Mantar protest site.
