SC orders Punjab, Haryana to give Himachal 11,973 MU power

The Supreme Court on Monday ended a 60-year energy dispute, directing Punjab and Haryana to supply 11,973 million units of electricity to Himachal Pradesh over 20 years. The cashless settlement adjusts ₹420.77 crore in capital costs against energy arrears. Punjab and Haryana will supply 598 MU annually during lean seasons in a 58:42 and 60:40 ratio.
