SC orders release of 6 convicts serving life term in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case

The Supreme Court has ordered the release of six convicts, including Nalini Sriharan and RP Ravichandran, serving life term in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in Tamil Nadu's Sriperumbudur on May 21, 1991. In May, the SC ordered the release of AG Perarivalan, one of the life convicts in the assassination case.
