SC proposes special courts for trials in Manipur violence cases

The Supreme Court on Friday proposed setting up special courts for speedy trials into the 2023 Manipur violence cases on a daily basis. The court also directed all agencies to complete their investigations into pending cases within a reasonable time. SITs formed by the state police are investigating 3,020 cases, while the CBI is investigating 31 cases of heinous offences.
