SC protects woman journalist, accused of using casteist slurs for cop, from coercive action
The Supreme Court ordered police not to take any coercive action against a female journalist, who was accused of making casteist slurs against Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Vivek Bhagat. The senior cop has been accused of molesting her during a protest. "We are considering whether there must be an independent committee to probe allegations against police officers," SC said.
