SC quashes POCSO charges against man as he marries the victim

The Supreme Court quashed criminal charges, including under POCSO, against a man accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a minor, whom he later married. "The subsequent development of marriage between them...would outweigh the need to take...proceedings to their logical end," SC said. The couple said they were in a consensual relationship and eloped because their families opposed.
