SC questions Bar Council chief's 5-yr tenure, says can't continue till 2030

The Supreme Court tightened oversight of the Bar Council of India (BCI), questioning Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra's continuation in office and observing that his term cannot prima facie be treated as extending until 2030. The Court also directed the Attorney General to be "actively associated" with every policy decision taken by the body until it is reconstituted through fresh elections.
