SC quotes Tagore to uphold life term of accused in 2013 murder of Chennai doctor

Supreme Court quoted Rabindranath Tagore while upholding life imprisonment for those convicted in the 2013 murder of Chennai neurosurgeon Dr Subbiah. "The greed of gain has no time or limit to its capaciousness...It is ruthlessly ready...to crush beauty and life," it said. Dr Subbiah was attacked and killed by three men in a long-running dispute over a two-acre land parcel.
