SC rejects plea for mandatory disclosure of ethanol content in petrol at fuel stations

The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a plea seeking mandatory disclosure of ethanol content in petrol sold at fuel stations across India. The petition sought uniform labels on every dispensing nozzle and fuel invoice, clearly stating the exact ethanol percentage. The court, however, allowed petitioner Narendra Kumar Goswami to approach the High Court with his concerns.
