SC rejects plea seeking removal of ‘anti-national’ social media posts

The Supreme Court rejected a PIL seeking directions to the Centre for the identification, removal, and blocking of content related to anti-national slogans on social media. Hearing the plea, CJI Surya Kant said, "You can pursue your alternate remedies." The plea stated that the dissemination of fake news and speeches posed a threat to communal harmony and public order.
