SC seeks apology as lawyer threatens suicide, says 'We're shocked'

The Supreme Court has demanded a written apology from a lawyer after he threatened suicide if his petition in a criminal case was not allowed. "How can you threaten the court that you'll commit suicide if we don't allow your prayer?...We're shocked...We expect him to tender an unconditional apology," the court said. The lawyer later apologised, saying he got "emotional".
