SC sets aside HC order allowing ₹15.9 lakh release in fraud case

The Supreme Court has set aside an order of the Delhi HC allowing a Section 482 CrPC application and directing the release of ₹15.9 lakh in favour of a company alleged to be the beneficiary of a fraudulent transaction involving the trade of shares. The SC reiterated that a mini-trial should not be conducted while exercising jurisdiction under Section 482.
