SC stays Ahmed Bawa's execution, seeks Gujarat trial records

Supreme Court stayed execution of Indian Mujahideen operative Ahmed Bawa after he challenged Gujarat High Court's decision upholding his death sentence. The bench issued a notice to Gujarat government and called for complete trial court records to evaluate legal proceedings, evidence and sentencing grounds before ruling on his appeal regarding his involvement in 2008 blasts that killed 56 people.
