SC suggests adding unpaid traffic fines to electricity bills

The Supreme Court proposed that states add unpaid traffic e-challan dues to electricity bills to ensure recovery. Justice Pardiwala stressed recovery is as important as issuing challans. Around ₹45,000 crore remains unrecovered. The court also suggested blocking vehicle registration renewals, blacklisting on Parivahan portal, and random vehicle checks.
