SC to hear Genpact's 10-yr-old tax dispute case next week

The Supreme Court will hear the Genpact Consulting Singapore 2014-2015 tax dispute case next week. In 2015, Genpact Singapore had sold over 1.4 million shares of its Indian arm to another company it owns. The IT department alleged the transactions were carried out to avoid payment of a dividend distribution tax under Section 115-O of the IT Act.
