SC upholds Centre's bid to extend tenure of Delhi Chief Secy by 6 months

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the Centre's decision to extend the tenure of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar by six months. Kumar was earlier supposed to retire on November 30. SC accepted the decision, saying the Centre had the right to transfer and appoint bureaucrats in the Delhi government since its ordinance has not yet been reversed.
