Scheme to encourage faster adoption of EVs by incentives: Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the Union Budget announced that 'FAME II' scheme aims to encourage faster adoption of electric vehicles by right incentives and charging infrastructure. The government has allocated ₹10,000 crore for faster adoption of electric vehicles, she added. Notably, the Environment Ministry recently deployed a few electric cars for official use.
