School leaving certificate not enough to prove age: Gujarat HC

The Gujarat High Court recently said that without supporting documents, a school leaving certificate is not enough to prove a person's age in a criminal trial. The government challenged the acquittal of a man in 1996 accused of raping a 12-year-old in 1994. He was reportedly acquitted as a court had doubts over the victim's age.
