Schools closed in J&K's Doda & Kishtwar districts amid heavy rains

Authorities have ordered the closure of schools in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda and Kishtwar districts following heavy rainfall in parts of the Union Territory overnight, officials said. Traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was also suspended, officials added. Earlier this month, two soldiers, identified as Lance Naik Telu Ram and Nb Sub Kuldeep Singh, drowned in a swollen stream in Poonch.
