Schools in Kochi replace marks with emojis, to evaluate kids based on activities

Multiple CBSE schools in Kerala's Kochi have started assessing academic performance of children in pre-KG to Class 2 using emojis and stars instead of marks. The changes have been introduced from this academic year and focus on evaluating children based on activities. "Such visual cues can have a strong impact, making the feedback more memorable," a CBSE school's teacher said.
