Scientists build crack-free battery using five metals

Scientists from IIT Indore, IIT Mandi, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and Boise State University, blended manganese, iron, nickel, copper, and aluminium to make a high-entropy battery cathode. Packing five distinct metals into the crystal lattice locks the structure into a stable solid form. This design prevents the battery from warping or cracking during high operation, according to the new study.
