Scientists have captured plant 'breathing' in real time for the first time ever through a technology called "Stomata In-Sight". This system visualises the minute movements of stomata, which are microscopic leaf pores acting as "mouths", while simultaneously measuring the gas exchange between the plant and its environment. The tool uses advanced machine learning to see these pores breathing.
