Scientists claim to have made paralysed mice walk again

Ruhr University Bochum scientists claim to have enabled mice paralysed after spinal cord injuries to walk again. They re-established a neural link considered irreparable in mammals until now by using a designer protein injected into the brain. The paralysed rodents that received the treatment started walking after two-three weeks. The team is investigating if the treatment can be improved.
