Scientists create most detailed simulation yet of early universe
Scientists have created 'Lumina', one of the largest and most detailed simulations of the early universe, recreating its first two billion years. The model tracks interactions between ordinary matter, dark matter and radiation to show how early galaxies formed and evolved. Creating Lumina required over 15,000 graphics processing units running on Frontier, one of the world’s fastest supercomputers.
