Scientists discover new Begonia species in Arunachal Pradesh
Scientists at the Botanical Survey of India have discovered a new plant species, Begonia quadricornualata, in the Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh. Characterised by its unique four-horned fruit and vibrant, red-brown bristly hairs, this discovery brings the total number of documented Begonia species in the state to 50. The species has been categorised as "Data Deficient".
