Scientists discover rare corpse flower Rafflesia after 13 years

A team of scientists from UK and Indonesia has discovered rare Rafflesia hasseltii in a rainforest in West Sumatra. Indonesian botanist Septian Andriki and scientist Chris Thorogood, deputy director of University of Oxford Botanic Garden, trekked through dense rainforest for nearly a full day to find the plant, which had not been seen in the wild for over 13 years.
