Scientists discover rare transmissible cancer in catfish

Scientists have discovered a transmissible skin cancer in catfish, only the fourth naturally contagious cancer ever identified in animals. The finding could reveal how tumours evade immune defences and evolve across hosts. Researchers stress there is no evidence the disease poses any risk to humans or can spread to people.
