Scientists find 15,000-year-old viruses in Tibetan glacier snow

Researchers have found 33 groups of virus genera, 28 of which are not known to modern science in the snow extracted from the Tibetan glacier collected in 1992 and 2015. The snow samples, estimated to be around 15,000 years old, had been put into cold storage by researchers for study at a later date.
