Scientists find hidden water reservoir 2,900 km under Earth's surface

A study published in 'Nature Geoscience' revealed that researchers found a large hidden water reservoir around 2,900 km below Earth's surface. The reservoir is located between the mantle and its liquid outer core, in an area that researchers call 'ultralow velocity zones'. Researchers also found two minerals which could stash away huge amounts of water in the core mantle boundary.
