Great barrier reef corals frozen in world's first such attempt

Scientists have successfully frozen Great Barrier Reef corals in the world's first such attempt. In a December trial, they froze coral larvae at the Australian Institute of Marine Science using a new method involving a new lightweight 'cryomesh' that can be manufactured cheaply and better preserves coral. The mesh technology will help store coral larvae at -196°C.
